About Friends

There are more than 35 Community Friends groups that support Children's through volunteer opportunities, fundraising events and special service projects.

Community Friends groups are usually formed by people who have a common bond—live in the same neighborhood, individual friendships, meet through schools, clubs or church, etc. Groups are encouraged to plan activities, service projects and fundraisers that interest them.

Our goal is to keep the "fun" in fundraising!

Vinings Estates Friends is a group made up of women in the Vinings Estates Community and surrounding areas.  Our goal is to support Children's Healthcare of Atlanta through fundraising and activities both in and out of the three hospitals.

Many of us have been touched by Children's, and all of us know how lucky we are to have such an amazing facility in our backyard.  Fundraising dollars support Emergency Services, research, and other family and patient support activities at the 3 Children's hospitals.

If you are interested in becoming part of the group, please contact us or simply come to a meeting.  Our meetings are fun girl's nights held on the 2nd or 3rd Tuesday of each month.  Please check out our calendar!

volunteer fundraising to benefit Children's Healthcare of Atlanta

Because we believe "every child needs a friend," our volunteers are called "Friends."

For the children and families who need the high-quality care Children's provides, the difference our Atlanta volunteers make is immeasurable.
